AL-HARAMAIN SUBSTATION SCADA SYSTEM

AL-HARAMAIN SUBSTATION SCADA SYSTEM

AL-Haramain Substation is an EPC project implemented by ABER AL-ALA'AM. was being asked to install a fully automatic Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System for the Al-Haramain 33/11 KV AIS Substations in Karbala City. This system receives constant incoming feedback including:

  • Digital input single point (DI-SP) of 290 signals.

  • Digital input double point  (DI-DP)  of 66 signals.

  • Analog input double point of 196 signals.

  • Digital output of 148 signals.

to ensure proper control and operation of the substation.

MILL GRAIN PROCESS

MILL GRAIN PROCESS

One mill grain was installed without any automatic operations since it operated for more than 10 years manually, our team is working to arrange the entire operation of the process and alarm system into one software that can operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a maximum productivity of 150 metric tons a day. We are working to activate order system to provide different required jobs in the mill for different production rate for each particular phase of Mill, improving Mill system of data collection (including alarm signals and feedback signals) to provide a full image of operation situation on one screen to reduce operational risk and minimize the downtime of errors, setting up a system of smart device control, and updating the project software to be compatible with these new functions.

This project will lead to:

  • Save more time for operation in case of need for shutdown or start running the mill, that leads to increase the productivity to a maximum rate

  • Save the operation sequence.

  • Reduce the loss of production due to bad operation commands.

  • Save all operation information (faults, production, running time, stops)

CCTV SYSTEM & NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE FOR RABAN AL SAFINA &SIEMENS FACTORY

CCTV SYSTEM & NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE FOR RABAN AL SAFINA &SIEMENS FACTORY

this is one of the projects in the field of protection that has ever implemented by our company. The main objective of this project is to protect important places within the Raban Al Safina &Siemens factory which covers an area of (100,000) M2   in Al-Najaf city with precision controlled, high-efficiency cameras, and to combine those cameras with the entry and exit of site personnel. This system needs to be able to process more than one point simultaneously with both intranet and Internet services. We used the latest technology on this site, including fiber-optic technology, wireless technology, and voice over IP technology, and connected this site with other sites belonging to the company. This way, the main company can still maintain control over the site.

Our goals for this project were to:

  • Provide surveillance cameras (both fixed and mobile, and thermal-based) that were fully controllable on site.

  • Provide protection for the site's private networks with integrated solutions.

  • Provide the latest communication technologies, including simultaneous processing (both wired and wireless) of different locations within the company

  • Provide a backup link to connect these cameras in case the main one goes down.

  • Provide integrated solutions for the linking of multiple systems, and provide for the control of any of these systems by the main company on and off-site

  • Provide a range of advanced solutions to protect vital data and information through the representation of a number of prominent international institutions that specialize in software development solutions.

  • Provide solutions for increasing poor and difficult communication by installing Voice over IP technology. This way, anyone can call among each site and internationally.

  • Provide protection and hardware system to monitor the entry and exit of staff within the site, increasing overall safety.

To accomplish these goals, we did the following:

  • Use the latest available hardware and various international sources at our disposal.

  • Use the latest types of fixed, mobile, and thermal cameras. Each camera is placed in a form to cover all parts of the project, and each camera will connect with the main link and secondary link. In case there's a problem with the main link, the secondary link will work automatically.

  • Use of Voice over IP technology and link it with other company sites both internally and externally, while still allowing for control by the main company.

  • Process each part within the site with intranet and Internet service, and connect these parts with other company sites through VPN technology.

  • Connect nearby cameras with UTP cables and remote cameras with wireless devices or fiber optic cables according to various to site requirements, along with a backup link for every single camera.

  • Provide a range of advanced solutions to protect vital data and information via the representation of a number of prominent international institutions that specialize in the development of software solutions.

  • Solved the problem of poor and difficulty communication by using Voice over IP technology, which now allows for everyone to call locally and internationally.

  • Provided protection and hardware system to monitor the entry and exit of staff, increasing overall safety.

The team for this project is a variety of experts all specializing in different fields, including network engineers, telecommunications engineers, computer engineers, electrical engineers, and technician workers. This staff was able to accomplish their objective by dividing into three parts, including a parts work team, a problem-solving team, and a development team.

ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SOUTH OIL COMPANY

ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SOUTH OIL COMPANY

ABER AL-ALA'AM has been awarded the project for a Centralized and Web-Based Access Control and Time Management System for the South Oil Company (ACS for SOC Project). This system came to meet South Oil Company’s (SOC) future time attendance requirements. ABER AL-ALA'AM was committed to ensuring a smooth design and implementation of the ACS system while providing a cost-effective solution that fits the operation requirements, provides professional consultation and customization of the system, as well as has an open architecture system that is scalable, modular and upgradeable.

The project went through the following stage:

  • Civil work for the E-gates of individuals & Vehicles

  • Wiring the network & power cables

  • Make all connections between the e-gates and the server room

  • E-gates Installation

  • software setup

Using in-house engineers to develop the Access Control and Time Management System has been the key for ABER AL-ALA'AM engineers to be quite familiar and proficient with its architecture ensuring customization can be made with ease. Additionally, our local expertise ensured to fill the gap and enhance SOC’s experience throughout the project’s lifecycle.

 Keys of Success:

  • Customize qualified people Specialized in a different field such as

  • Commitment to International standards

  • Set efficient  plans

  • On-time delivery

SCADA SYSTEMS FOR 20 SUBSTATIONS

SCADA SYSTEMS FOR 20 SUBSTATIONS

ABER AL-ALA'AM is being asked by the Ministry of Electricity to design, implement & operate the SCADA system for twenty 33/11 KV GIS Substations in the south of Iraq. We took a design based on the Siemens SIMATIC range of products and are installing it on 20 substations this system checks incoming feedback to ensure that the substations operate safely. The SIMATIC products (RTU based on the world standard Industrial S7-400 Modular PLC) provides an excellent hardware base as we integrate software solutions that can be modified and expanded according to the user's needs
